Williamson County’s 21st Judicial Drug Court is an alternative sentencing program for convicted felons struggling with deep rooted drug addictions. The Drug Court is an intensive two-year mandated program for convicted felons whose root problem is drug addiction. It is monitored by the 21st Judicial Court System. No other program in the Middle Tennessee area is designed for success like the 21st Judicial Drug Court. Many of the participants have lost everything – spouses, children, homes, jobs – due to their addiction. Community Outreach Ministries (COM) is the only ministry in Williamson County providing pastoral counseling, educational training programs, mentoring and daily ministry to the multitude of needs affecting the lives of the participants and their families. Without the love and guidance of COM and the Drug Court program, many of these individuals will face a lifetime in prison and/or an early death. Corky French leads two life changing, spiritual groups each week for Drug Court participants. Each group is attended by 10-15 addicts. These groups point participants to faith in God as the key to their recovery and the only hope for their future. Corky also does extensive individual work with many of the participants, sharing with them the life-changing story of God’s love for them. Through the efforts of Community Outreach Ministries, we are seeing unbelievable change and transformation in the lives of many of these addicts! The Drug Court program has 80 participants with approximately 200 family members and is expected to expand to more than 100 participants and an estimated 400 family members.
